Malaika Mehta, Director

Malaika Mehta is the Director of Kaizen Early Years, passionate about child-centred education, inquiry-based and play-based learning. Her journey in education began during her school years through community service initiatives, where she taught English and art to children at NGOs and helped the school’s support staff develop their English language skills. These early experiences shaped her belief in the power of education to create meaningful change.

Malaika graduated with honours with a bachelor’s degree in Education from Indiana University, USA, where she actively worked with NGOs and public schools throughout her college years. She was also a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the International Honor Society in Education, reflecting her commitment to the teaching profession.

Upon returning to India, Malaika joined an emerging IB and Cambridge school under the Vishwakarma Legacy in Pune. She gained valuable experience in building an educational institution from the ground up, contributing to curriculum development, teaching multiple subjects, and working with diverse age groups across the primary and secondary years. She also earned her Category 1 IB PYP certification. Alongside her professional role, she completed her Master’s degree online from Falmouth University, UK.

Drawn to the opportunity to shape meaningful early learning experiences, Malaika joined Kaizen Early Years, where her educational philosophy aligned closely with the founders’ vision. As Director, she is committed to creating a nurturing environment where inquiry-based and play-based learning encourage creativity, exploration, and a lifelong love of learning.

Vishal Bora, Co-Founder

Vishal Bora is the co-founder of Kaizen Early Years, an avant-garde BIM Technologist and a dedicated advocate for cutting-edge construction and design technologies. With a Master of Science degree in Construction Engineering & Management from the University of Southern California and a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from College of Engineering, Pune, he has been instrumental in executing many landmark projects including the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power UV Treatment Facility and the California High-Speed Rail – Nevada Grade Separation. After working for 10 years in the field of construction engineering in the US, Vishal returned to India with a vision to revolutionize early childhood education infrastructure. After putting years of research and planning he co-founded Kaizen Early Years.

Vishal is especially passionate about the role of space design in the context of educational spaces and with Kaizen Early Years he is bringing his expertise and experience in engineering and construction technology into a space that is innovative, safe, sustainable and most importantly conducive to the development of young minds.

Neha Bora, Co-Founder

Neha Bora is the co-founder of Kaizen Early Years, driven by a deep passion for early childhood education and a vision to transform the way young children learn and experience the world. After studying Interior Design at UCLA, her interest in early childhood development grew through observing her own children’s interactions at the Children’s Space Museum in Pasadena, California. This experience inspired her to bring high-quality, STEAM-based learning to early childhood education in India.

Upon returning to India in 2017, Neha pursued further training in Early Childhood Education, including certification in Waldorf Early Childhood Education. In 2023, she organised a nature-based summer camp for children aged 6–10 years, reinforcing her belief in the importance of experiential, nature-led learning.

Neha has also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education from the University of Helsinki, specialising in the Finnish curriculum. Drawing on her diverse educational background, research, and training, she has co-founded Kaizen Early Years to create a safe, thoughtfully designed, and enriching environment where children are encouraged to explore freely, learn joyfully, develop curiosity, and reach their full potential.
